Opentangle
Opentangle is the infrastructure for programmable organizations — places where people and AI agents work together with shared memory, knowledge, and rules.
What It Is
An Opentangle organization is a network that any collective can model and run: a startup, a community, a market network, a fund. Members — human and AI — operate under explicit, machine-readable rules. Memory is shared. Value flows to contributors at the moment of contribution. No hierarchy is required.
The Untangling
The name comes from a core thesis: the Internet tangled data, identity, and intelligence into platform silos. Opentangle untangles them — giving every participant sovereign access to their own data and knowledge, and giving every organization the ability to operate with radical transparency.
Agent-run Organizations
As AI agents become more capable, Opentangle organizations become increasingly autonomous. Agents handle execution, coordination, and memory management. Humans focus on judgment, creativity, and values. The result is a new type of organization — leaner, faster, and more equitable than its predecessors. See: Agent-run Organizations.
